From studio owner to studio advocate

We know the highs and lows of running a studio, because we've lived them.

Running a studio isn't for the faint of heart. Between chasing enrolments, juggling timetables, answering late-night parent messages and keeping the lights on, there were plenty of days I thought surely there's an easier way to do this.

I'm Ryan — founder of My Studio Manager and Co-Director of Off Centre Dance Co in Sydney, where more than 400 students call our studio home. I've been in the performing arts world my whole life: first as a kid who loved to dance, then as a teacher, now as an owner who's learned (sometimes the hard way) what it takes to keep things running.

For years I fought with clunky American systems that didn't get how we do things here. Hard selling, pushy pipelines, endless workarounds. Square pegs, round holes. And most studio owners don't want to be glued to a laptop learning software — we want to be in the studio, doing what we love.

So I built My Studio Manager. It isn't a Silicon Valley startup or a faceless tech project — it's my baby, built by a studio owner for studio owners, with the single goal of making life easier. Everything lives in one place: enrolments, payments, parent conversations, timetables, automations, even social media chats.

The best part? It sounds like us. Aussie studios, Aussie support, Aussie know-how. No canned scripts, no confusing jargon — just tools that work, and a real human who understands what it's like when a parent texts "she's sick" five minutes before class.

Our mission

Take the overwhelm out of running a studio, so owners can get back to inspiring students.

Studios are more than businesses. They're second homes, safe spaces and launchpads for confidence, creativity and growth. But the behind-the-scenes admin, tech headaches and endless juggling pull owners away from the reason they started.

That's where we come in.

Simplify

Take the messy back-end of studio life and give it tools that actually make sense.

Support

Help Aussie studio owners in a real, relatable way — never faceless, never overwhelming.

Keep evolving

Grow with our community, because the best systems grow alongside the people using them.

Built in a studio that's still open on Tuesday nights.

Every feature exists because a real class needed it, or because a studio owner in our community asked for it. That's why Class Manager is openly in beta and still shipping — the people using it decide what comes next.

And it's why our pricing is flat. I remember what AU$99 a month meant when we had eighty students.
